This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Refinance Calculator AU calculator or send an optional refinance enquiry. It applies to this tool; other Suncorp Industries Pty Ltd services may have separate notices.

Who handles the information
The calculator is published at Refinance Calculator AU by Suncorp Industries Pty Ltd. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or a complaint, contact ryan.lee@aussie.com.au.
Information this tool receives
- Calculator inputs: loan balances, remaining term, repayment frequency, property or security values, loan purpose, interest rates, fees, switching costs and cashback.
- Optional enquiry details: first and last name, phone number, email address and, if you have calculated a scenario, a short snapshot of its inputs and estimated results when you request a call.
- Technical information: our hosting service may record the IP address, browser or device information, request time and pages requested in standard server logs.
The calculator is free to use without creating an account, entering contact details or requesting an appointment. Do not enter sensitive information such as account numbers into the calculator or enquiry form.
How calculator inputs are processed
Your browser sends the entered loan figures to the calculator's server endpoint so it can return an estimate. The calculator code does not write those figures to a database. Hosting infrastructure may still retain standard technical logs. A copied or downloaded report is created from the results in your browser.
Submitting the optional enquiry is a separate action. The form emails your contact details and, when available, a short scenario snapshot to the team handling your request.
Why we use information
We use calculator inputs to produce the estimates you request. If you submit an enquiry, we use the supplied contact details and any included scenario snapshot to respond and discuss your refinance enquiry. We may also use technical information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service or meet legal obligations.
Requesting a call does not itself subscribe you to unrelated marketing. If a separate marketing choice is introduced, it should be presented separately.
Who may receive information
The calculator uses a hosting provider for the website and an email service to deliver enquiries to the team. Service providers may process information on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law or with your permission. The calculator code does not send enquiry information to advertising platforms.
Using a share button opens a third-party service or your email application with a link to the calculator. The calculator does not add your loan figures or contact details to that share link. Those services apply their own privacy practices.
Processing outside Australia
Hosting and email providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their processing locations depend on the service configuration and may change. Contact us for current information about the providers and locations used for your enquiry.
Security and retention
We use reasonable measures intended to protect information in transit and in the services used to handle enquiries. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Enquiry emails are retained in the email service and may be kept for enquiry follow-up, business records and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to ask about the period relevant to your information or request deletion where available.
Access, correction and complaints
Email ryan.lee@aussie.com.au to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion where available, or make a privacy complaint. Include enough detail for us to identify your enquiry; we may need to verify your identity. We will review and respond to a complaint. If you are dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the tool, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest version. See the cookie policy for the tool's current tracking behavior.
